The Salter Consulting Group LLC believes that the secret to high performing organizations lies in the relationship between employees and their bosses. We believe that, titles notwithstanding, “a leader lives within each employee.” So, if you are looking for that one sustainable competitive advantage (SCA), look no further than your direct report, colleague and/or peer. Too many employees today have neither a rational or emotional commitment to their companies. They are truly ‘free agents’ willing to play for the highest bidder.
The key to unlocking this commitment is authentic leadership. Leadership must tap into their desire to make a meaningful contribution. Authentic leadership at all levels should be spiritual without being dogmatic, demanding without being demeaning, and, fearless without being reckless. We can help.
We have the experience, know-how and savvy to help you ignite the passion and drive of your most valuable resource—your employees!
Ultimately, talent trumps both strategy and technology! Learn more about The Salter Consulting Group >
NEW BOOK Released: Being the Boss When Its Black Over White
This book was born out of a need to validate what every Black leader knows – that racism toward blacks in leadership is real. Further, it is to air out some of the pernicious perceptions and beliefs that operate to make the position of leadership for Blacks unnecessarily challenging, and often, untenable. In addition, my goal is to share what I have observed and learned about being a successful Black leader, and strategies for Blacks who are tasked with leading employees who question their suitability for the role of being their black boss.
More Products: Striving While Black
Striving While Black is a personal reflection, a playbook and a portable mentor for African- Americans and others who didn’t and don’t have the advantage of trailblazers who have gone before them in forging a successful corporate career. Success in corporate America is based on not only what you know–but, as importantly, who you know and who will sponsor you, share information with you as well as advocate for you.
